Seven free boarding nights for your dog when your baby arrives — drop-of-the-hat timing. If your baby ends up in the NICU, boarding stays free as long as you need it.
When you're scheduled to give birth — or when labor actually starts — you can drop your dog off with us at a moment's notice. No reservation needed. Seven boarding nights, completely free, while you give birth, recover, and get settled with your newborn at home.
If your baby ends up in the NICU, we extend the free boarding for the entire NICU stay with simple confirmation. We've been through this with enough families to know you don't need another thing on your plate.
Call your closest Rocky Mountain K9 location. We'll get your dog's file set up ahead of time so when the day comes, you can walk in and hand us the leash. If it's after hours, use our emergency line (see After-Hours Care).
The dog is a critical part of this transition. A stressed or busy parent who can't give the dog attention in the first week dramatically hurts the dog's chance of bonding safely with the new baby. We'd rather you bring the dog in when everyone is calm, prepared, and ready — not when the house is chaos and nobody has the bandwidth. This is our way of giving mothers and fathers a smoother first week.
Call your nearest Rocky Mountain K9 and mention bringing home baby. We'll handle it from there.
